The leash is an accessory used to connect the surfer to his board so that it is easier to get back to it after a fall. Modern leashes are made of a string of polyurethane.
How to use the leash?
Choose a leash at least as big as your surfboard. The leash must have a swivel-type system at each end to prevent it from twisting at the ankle. A special rope must be properly wrapped at the plug of your board, located on the tail.
Attach the leash onto the cord plug. Make sure that the leash has a \"rail saver\" properly positioned to avoid damaging the cord behind your board. Attach the velcro strap to the rear ankle (this means the left ankle for a goofy foot and the right ankle for a regular foot surfer).
